These river's have become a nationally known top fishing destination.
We have been fishing these rivers for 35+ years; understanding the seasonal patters and tidal influences.
Since the great work of the Concerned Bass Anglers of Virginia (CBAV ) introducing and continuously stocking the F1 strain of bass, these rivers have "exploded"!! Great numbers of fish and the potential of a double digit sized fish is there.
Lake Anna shines during the cold months and is a regular venue during January and February. These fish like it when it's NASTY out. Dress warm, grab your jerkbaits and hold on! A great fishery with good numbers and good sized bass!! We tend to shy away from Anna after the Pleasure Boat Brigade starts up in late spring.
A LEGANDARY Fishery!!! Buggs has been a staple for us and a venue for most tournament trails for years and years. Based on the seasonal patterns and water level, a host of techniques come into play. Great numbers of fish in the 2 1/2 - 4lb range! The shad spawn bite can be PHENOMINAL and Top Water action in late May - June(Blueback spawn) is an exciting time to be here!
A preferred venue during the spring, but also great fishing through June. Gaston provides an opportunity to chase both nice Largemouth AND nice Spotted bass.
